Great news cellists! I've now got a new link up on my sister site for sheet music with some of my own compositions as well as others which I've transcribed for cello from other sources! I've got a couple of reels and a jig up so far that I've composed. The music for the two reels aren't written out yet (since I just composed them yesterday!)but will be soon! My First CD Release!

I am very excited to announce that I have just finished up my very first CD, Inspirations! After months of hard work everything is now complete! It was release on July 1st, 2009 in Victoria in the Inner Harbour while busking. You can grab your copy today by visiting my website at http://www.moniquefink.com .

Not only that but it looks like I might be doing another few tracks with another local artist in the next month! I'll keep you posted on that!

Busking on Canada Day, Victoria

That time has come around again. The biggest and most exciting busking day of the year! Canada Day! This year was extra special for me because it was the very same day that my first CD came out, Inspirations! I was excited but also nervous as to how things would go sale wise since I've never had a CD before to sell while busking. I was quite surprised that I sold 9 CD's! Thanks to all those people that grabbed a copy!

Besides the CD release the weather was awesome! Couldn't ask for better weather. It was a beautiful, hot and sunny day, tonnes of people were out and I really enjoyed playing that day. Some of my friends even came out to listen!

After that day of busking I haven't been out since the weather has been kind of yucky for the past few days. Perhaps I'll get out today, we'll see!
